Mainline Client Services

In-House Brand Design and Creative Management

Building an esports client services and in-house design team from scratch.

I started this role team as a Senior Designer with one junior designer and eventually grew to Director of Creative while building a multi-disciplinary 4-person design team. We handled branding, marketing, and broadcast graphics for 100+ tournaments as well as in-house marketing and general brand design. Personally I handled creative direction on projects, balancing team workload, and coordinating with vendors in addition to recruiting, hiring, and general management of the creative team.

Tournament Branding

One of my primary tasks was creating branding packages for our clientā€™s esports tournaments. This included creating event specific logos, marketing graphics, and banners for the Mainline tournament platform that were sub-branded for different schools, games, regions, or tournament stages as pictured below.

Broadcast Graphic Packages

In addition to supporting tournament play, my team also created online livestream packages for clients like ESPN, Tony Hawk, Chipotle, and the Big 12. My role in this process was designing the screen layouts and art directing additional motion graphics or custom overlays.

What I Love About This Project

What I love most about this was the team. This was my first time building and leading a team like this and Iā€™m very proud of each person on it, how we came together, and the amount of quality work we were able to put together often in high-pressure circumstances.
